Hinoki Cutting Board

This hinoki cutting board made of Japanese cypress is handcrafted by wooden household goods maker Tosaryu. The solid cutting board is made from a luxurious single piece of Shimanto hinoki wood, This wood is resilient and flexible, so it's gentle on the knife blade and your arm. It has a pale pink color and a high oil content, making it excellent at repelling water. The cutting board edge is treated with a prepolymer for waterproofing to prevent the black stains and discoloration that are unique to cutting boards. The board has a built-in stand made from Japanese cherry that allows it to stand upright on its own while drying. This lightweight cutting board is easy to handle and easy to use.
