This giyaman chrysanthemum small dessert plate makes a striking presence with a glass-like transparency and depth of color. The name comes from the word giyaman used during the Edo period (1603–1868) for glass products. Its sophisticated and high-end appearance pairs equally well with Asian and Western cuisines and has attracted attention overseas, being sold at the Christian Dior flagship store in Paris and used at banquets at the Palace of Versailles. This versatile blue plate is also practical for everyday use to serve desserts and small side dishes.

Mino Ware

Mino ware refers to pottery traditionally made in Japan’s eastern Gifu Prefecture, primarily in Tajimi, Toki, Mizunami, and Kani. This ancient method of producing elegant, durable ceramics has roots going back over 1300 years to Japan’s Kofun period in the 7th century. Typically found nested into the mountainsides, the unique kilns used to produce Mino ware are often referred to as anagama kilns, and the master artisans producing these stunning products continue to adhere to rigid standards to produce only the highest quality ceramics.
