This gorgeous fluted tea cup has been carefully shaped and beveled, giving it a unique barrel appearance. The timeless design was then given a rich glaze to showcase the ivory-colored porcelain. Following a minimalist theme, the artisans carefully hand-paint pale indigo rings and a copper-hued trim on the elegant cup's lip, a nod to the region's centuries-old stylings but with modern influences. The design is more than just stylish, as the beveled surface adds to the porcelain's insulating ability, making the cup easier to hold regardless of the hot beverages it contains.

Teacup

Japanese teacups called yunomi jawan (湯呑み茶碗) are designed for enjoying hot green tea like sencha, hojicha, and genmaicha. Selecting a teacup that suits your preferences can enhance your enjoyment of this traditional beverage. How the cup looks, feels, and even sounds are important factors to consider. The cup's shape, height, and width can affect the tea's aroma, too. Consider the material, thickness, texture, glaze, style, and decoration of the cup to best suit the occasion and your mood. Japanese teacups are fun to collect and make a special gift for fans of Japanese green tea.

Hasami ware

The lineage of Hasami ware porcelain dates back over 400 years, and modern artisans still use many of the same time-honored methods to create their stunning pieces. Hasami ware, originating from the town of Hasami, shares close ties to porcelain from the Arita region of Japan, but each style produces itsown unique pieces.
