The Baguette Chopstick Rest is a playful and whimsical holder that looks so much like a miniature baguette, your guests might wonder if it’s real. Crafted by renowned Arita artisans, these finely detailed, miniature French baguettes (or French bread sticks) showcase their incredible craftsmanship. Each piece is individually formed, painted, glazed, and fired, adding a creative touch to your place settings. Chopstick rests are essential for any Japanese dinner, and the unique baguette design offers a fun way to personalize your dining experience. The gently curved ends of the baguette ensure that chopsticks rest neatly at the center, making this a charming and functional addition to your table.

Chopstick Rest

When setting the table for a Japanese meal, chopstick rests (hashioki) are a must-have item. These rests are essential for hygiene so the chopsticks don’t touch the table. They are also a wonderful way to add whimsy, charm, and a personal touch to your table setting. With so many themes and designs to choose, chopstick rests are quite popular to collect. It's fun to switch them up for different seasons, menus, and occasions.

Arita Ware

Arita porcelain originates from an area known as Arita on the Island of Kyushu, Japan. It is known as the birthplace of fine Japanese porcelain, and the artisans of Arita have produced exceptional ceramic works for more than 400 years. The beautiful contrast between the porcelain and the hand-painting is obtained by using exceptionally high-quality porcelain stone, allowing the glazed surface to display a distinct glossy mirror with a rich ivory luster.
