The dumplings portrayed in this series are the caramel brown mitarashi (rice flour) dumplings. The rich brown of the glutinous rice (dango) is so skillfully painted by the artist that your guests may question if they are, in fact, real. Individually hand sculpting, painting, and firing means that each chopstick holder lends your table an artistic, timeless charm.
Please note that the chopstick rest does not include the dango stick. You can use a small piece of a toothpick to replicate the stick.
